The story

The Sleepwalkers

You went to bed in your own house and woke up in a world broken into pieces. Your friends came too, each fell into a different piece, and each piece plays by its own rules. Your job is to find everyone.

The opening

The last round

It was supposed to be just another night: one last game online with the friends, one last mug, then bed.
On the other side of sleep, there were two moons in the sky. And something pulling.
Each of us went to bed at a different hour, in a different corner of our world. And each of us was pulled at a different hour.
There, the world is broken into pieces, and each piece has its own rules. We each fell into a different one.
I woke up in a body that wasn’t mine, in a land I had never seen. At least my head was the same.
At the Crossroads Tavern, the table already has a seat for each of us. Now we just have to find everyone and sit them down.
The people

Not heroes: friends

The people of this world call them Sleepwalkers. Some take them as an omen of the Second Eclipse; others just think they drink too much. They find each friend playing that friend’s own game.

Pinho

Moon Elf · the cold North

Competitive. He says he is “stuck” in the Ring. He is not in a hurry to leave.

Sorcerers' Arena

Caju

Orc · the warm South

Lives for the team. Already made friends with half the heroes of the world.

MOBA

Maré

Human · the Coast

The calm one. Organized the defense of a whole village with crates and patience.

Tower defense

Tatu

Troll · the warm South

Found the mounts and has not sat still since. Bets on everything.

Rune roads
Three lands, three factions

Where you wake up

Where you wake up is your faction. The body is your people: human, elf, orc and six more. The old Eclipse, the Veil and the Ember are still here under all of it.

The cold North

Mists of Nyr · Circle of the Veiled Moon

Pine forests, lakes that mirror two moons, lights in the sky, very polite people.

The warm South

Wastes of Kharos · Iron Legion

Canyons, savanna and a volcano, now with jungle, beach and a party. Free and proud, and everything works out somehow.

The Coast

Lands of Valcrest · Pact of the Dawn

A white and blue city by the sea, navigators, wine and tiled houses, carrying the guilt of an old empire.

The meeting place

The Crossroads Tavern

It stands at the Pass of the Three Banners, no one’s land between the three factions, where the pieces touch. Gunda Three-Mugs, a dwarf who left the northern range because “money has no faction”, runs it. She does not understand why they call the beer “one for the road” every single time.

The bar table is where the group picks the next adventure and its rules, and then goes there together and comes back.
